Hi- I’m April and I am almost 9 years old. I just went to dance camp for a week at DanceSteps, Etc. in Epsom, NH. Epsom is my hometown.
At camp, we learned how to dance in styles of jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. It was really fun! Hip hop is really fast. Lyrical is very elegant and smooth. Tap is so fun because it is loud and we have partners!
We had two teachers, Miss Joan, the owner and Miss Amanda, who teaches the hip hop and lyrical classes.
I got to see some friends from my fall dance classes, as well as meet some new friends.
We went to some parks for field trips and restaurants for ice cream treats. We also swam in the pool and did some crafts that we used as props in our Friday Finale dance performance.
Our theme this year was “Summertime” and we got to dance to really fun songs.
My mom, dad and three sisters, as well as some neighbors, came to see me perform. I was proud to show them what I had learned during the week.
